So, I guess you're not going to try out the Games' WODs? Not pushing you, just figured you'd think it was fun to compare yourself against the rest of the CrossFit World. I think you are definitely Regionals-worthy.
ReplyDeleteAgain, no pressure! Keep hitting it hard, you're doing some awesome work. Enjoy reading your blog daily.
I checked it out, and I looked ahead on the OPT programming and the first open event is coming up. I am following about 2-3 weeks behind the current posts.
ReplyDeleteI thought about doing it until I saw that it was on the horizon. I am planning on sticking with the OPT until it comes up.
I appreciate the vote of confidence. With logistics and lack of time, I would be hard pressed to actually post a video or get to a box to be judged.
I am definietly going to follow the progess. I think it is awesome that they are opening it up like that.
How is your training going?
I'm not sure where you looked or if that's something specific to OPT's website, but the competition for the CrossFit Games Open is going on NOW! The 1st WOD submission is this Sunday, March 27. You can see the workout (and details about submission) and the current leaderboard on the mainpage of http://games.crossfit.com. The fee is $10 and it covers the full 6 weeks' worth of WODs. Although, if you don't think you can get a video of yourself done, then that might be an issue. Check it out, though.....
ReplyDeleteMy training is going well, I'm trying to add in some CF Endurance stuff into the mix as I'm planning to compete in my 1st Sprint Triathlon on April 2. I'm excited about that and really like the Endurance Strength and Conditioning WODs, too. Kind of miss my Wendler 5/3/1 stuff, though. I'll probably hit that back up after the Triathlon.
I attended a CF Level 1 Certification, so I'm officially trained to be a trainer. I've been going into one of the boxes down here and "shadowing" a lot of their coaches to get some experience under my belt. My goal is to get CF Kids' certified, which will be in June and then head up their CFK program there. Very excited about that!! Trying to position myself to be working/playing at the same time doing what my passion is.
